| It’s time to celebrate Purim, in the Ashkenaz style: the Aquarian Minyan Purim Party! The evening begins with the traditional Megillah scroll reading at 7 pm, followed by the satirical play “Occupy Purim,” directed by Lincoln Spector. The versatile band Adama closes the night with music for dancing, with singer-guitarist-arranger Achi Ben Shalom, percussionist Jan Padover, bassist Jeremy Cohen, flutist Rabecca Kleinmanna, and Be’eri Moalem on viola and violin. The ensemble plays music of Jewish people around the world, including klezmer, Ladino, Middle Eastern, Yiddish, Hasidic, and contemporary American Jewish tunes. |
