a supplement to efforts made by the artists and promoters, Ashkenaz
does the following to publicize our shows:

print calendars are distributed monthly to our patrons and the community
at large
weekly
strip ads are run in the San Francisco Bay Guardian and the Berkeley
Daily Planet
show
and artist info is posted on our web site calendar;
feel free to email a photo and/or description to kristen
at ashkenaz.com if you have materials you would like to see
here
all
shows appear on our mySpace page: myspace.com/ashkenazberkeley.

weekly
emails are sent to approximately 2500 subscribers
our
monthly calendar appears in all local publications that have free
listings, including: Berkeley Daily Planet, Contra Costa Times,
East Bay Express, SF Bay Guardian, SF Chronicle, and the East Bay
Daily News.

11x17 posters are printed for every show, which are posted around
the club about 2 weeks in advance; if you have a generic poster,
or graphics you would like used, please send them to susan
at ashkenaz.com
your
CD will be played in the club in the weeks preceding your show
At
our discretion, Ashkenaz also posts some shows to websites such
as www.jambase.com and www.ireggae.com,
organizes ticket giveaways on radio stations (KALX, KPFA, KALW),
and sends out press releases for selected events.
If
you would like us to print extra posters for you to put up around
the community, please contact Susan Pleck at susan
at ashkenaz.com. The expense for this will be deducted from
the door on the night of your show.
