As you know, Ashkenaz depends on the support of its community to keep our doors open, our programming alive, and our horizons expanding... The 6th Annual Dance-A-Thon will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2009 from 2:00PM to 2:00AM. This is your chance to offer this support while dancing your face off to 12 hours of live music from your fave bands! Ashkenaz is a 501(c) 3; all the proceeds are tax-deductible and will go toward Ashkenaz operating expenses as well as much-needed repair and beautification projects. Many of you remember the Annual Dance-A-Thon fundraising series in 1998-2002, which helped raise funds toward the purchase of the Ashkenaz building from David Nadel’s estate. an event for the whole family. We will be featuring activities for
the kids, great raffle prizes and good food in the Back Studio. Admission is $20 for anyone over the age of 12, or..... For $10 you can enter as a "Sponsored Dancer." You collect pledges from your friends and family and come to the Dance-A-Thon with your filled out dance card and collected pledges. Anyone who gets sponsorships totaling $100 or more gets their
Dance Card number entered into a drawing for STEP 1: Click here to download and print STEP 2: Collect pledges! You can collect pledges either (a) for your attendance to the event, or (b) per hours you dance at Dance-A-Thon. The full instructions for each of these methods are contained in the Dance Card & Instructions download. STEP 3: Bring yourself and your Dance Card to the Dance-A-Thon and present it at the door. You will need to pay your $10 registration fee at the door, unless you registered prior to September 17th, or in person via the Ashkenaz office. You will also need to have a minimum of $10 of collected pledges to enter with your Dance Card, and a minimum of $100 of collected pledges to be entered in the draw to win 1 year's admission to Ashkenaz. STEP 4: Dance til you drop! If you would like to do a volunteer shift at the Dance-A-Thon, please email Larry Dekker at dekker@ashkenaz.com, with your name, contact information and times you are available.
Tickets for the Dance-A-Thon raffle are available from the Cafe at any of our shows in the lead-up to Dance-A-Thon, and they will be available on the day of the Dance-A-Thon. You do not need to be present at Dance-A-Thon to win a prize! THE FANTASTIC PRIZES: ~$25 gift cert at T-Rex Restaurant and Bar plus 2 passes to Ashkenaz
